Sods Strive Together is a brand new weekly 'Walk and Talk' for men in our local community, starting Friday 6th February, from 10.00 – 12.00pm at CSTFC.
No booking. No sign-up. Just turn up and enjoy a warm welcome. We'll walk and talk together every Friday at the same time.
This is a chance for men of all ages to get outside, have a chat, make new connections and support one another - all at an easy, comfortable pace.
Sods Strive Together is inspired by the national Walk and Talk Movement, which promotes the simple but powerful benefits of walking and talking together. Sessions are designed to be inclusive, accessible, friendly and fun.
Thousands of people already take part in community Walk and Talks every week, improving their health, wellbeing and sense of connection.
About Sods Strive Together
From Friday 6th February, Walkers and Talkers can meet every Friday at Chipping Sodbury Town FC Clubhouse from 10.00 - 12.00pm - come rain or shine.
Why are we doing this?
Club Chairman, James Mapstone explains:
“Over the past year we’ve heard more and more people tell us they feel isolated or just need a reason to get out and connect. The club has always been a place where people feel welcome, so creating a Walk and Talk felt like a natural step.
This is about simple human connection — fresh air, friendly faces and shared conversation. And we're really grateful to Sport England, WESPORT and FD Cummings Financial Planning for backing Sods Strive Together and helping make this possible.
If it helps even a few people feel healthier, happier and more connected, it’s worth doing."
